That is why Starbackr is free of moral censorship. ### NSFW-Mode NSFW is short for *Not Safe For Work* and indicates that a certain piece of content is not meant to be viewed in professional or formal environments (e.g. most workplaces). NSFW content may for example contain nudity or pornography. To ensure a great user experience for all users, explicit or unsafe content will be marked accordingly and is only shown to users that have NSFW-Mode enabled. # ⚡ Powered by Lightning The Lightning Network is a transaction layer that is built on top of Bitcoin. It unlocks very fast and very cheap payments while still being anchored in the Bitcoin blockchain. Starbackr is built on Bitcoin but powered by Lightning, meaning most transactions are actually handled by the Lightning Network. That's one of the reasons why Starbackr can operate on a much lower revenue share than other platforms. While most other platforms need to collect 20-40% of a creator's revenue, STARBACKR only needs 10%. # 🧡 Built on Bitcoin Independence and freedom often go hand in hand. When it comes to payments, this is most definitely the case. Building on Bitcoin enables us to pass along that freedom to our users and creators. Just follow the steps below and you will be ready in no time! ## Creating an account To publish content on STARBACKR and access all its features, you will need a STARBACKR account. Simply register [here](https://app.starbackr.com/registration) or sign up using one of our key-based authentication methods (coming soon). ## Set up your profile After creating an account, it's time to add your personal touches to your Starbackr profile. Go to [your profile](https://app.starbackr.com/profile) and add a banner, a picture, and other information. Remember that your profile is your virtual storefront, so make sure it sticks out! ## Optional: Enable NSFW-posts STARBACKR is split up into two different categories: Safe For Work (SFW) and Not Safe For Work (NSFW). By default NSFW-Mode is disabled, so you will not be able to see or post content that is not suited for minors. In order to view and post NSFW content you will need to enable NSFW mode in your [profile settings](https://app.starbackr.com/profile/edit). # Starbackr Wallet Every account on STARBACKR comes with its own integrated, Lightning-enabled Bitcoin Wallet. It can be used to receive and pay with Bitcoin and integrates seamlessly into the platform. Open up STARBACKR and navigate to your STARBACKR wallet. 2. Click "Receive" then enter an amount and a description for the transaction 3. Click "REQUEST" and a QR code will be displayed. 4. Scan the QR code (or copy the Invoice manually) with the sending wallet. 5. Confirm the payment on the sending wallet. 6. You will receive a confirmation in your Starbackr wallet and the amount will be credited. # Receive From Bitcoin Wallets If you want to receive Bitcoin from a wallet that does not yet support sending on the Lightning Network yet, you can use your STARBACKR wallet's on-chain address. On-chain payments are a little slower and not as cheap as Lightning payments but can be used to transfer bigger amounts more easily. ### Step-By-Step Guide 1. Open up STARBACKR and navigate to your STARBACKR wallet. 2. Click "Manage Funds" and then choose "With External Wallet" from the Top-Up options. A QR code will be displayed. 3. Scan the QR code (or copy the address manually) with the sending wallet. 4. Any Bitcoin sent to this address will be credited to your STARBACKR wallet ### Troubleshooting #### *I have sent Bitcoin to the address, but they are not credited to my STARBACKR wallet* On-Chain transactions are not instantaneous. They need to be confirmed by the miners of the Bitcoin network first. If the network load is high, this might take some time. Once your transaction is confirmed, it will show up in your STARBACKR wallet. Sending to a Bitcoin Address (on-chain) is currently not supported. However you can use a third party like [boltz.exchange](https://boltz.exchange) to switch your money from one protocol to another. You can pay any regular Lightning Invoice from your STARBACKR Wallet or you can proactively send Bitcoin to a Lightning Address. ### Paying a Lightning Invoice 1 - Copy the Lightning Invoice created by the receiving Wallet 2 - Open your STARBACKR Wallet and tap the "Send" button 3 - Paste the Lightning Invoice and hit "Read" 4 - Click Send after confirming the amount ### Sending to a Lightning Address 1 - Open your STARBACKR Wallet and tap the "Send" button 2 - Enter the Lightning Address you wish to send Bitcoin to and tap "Read" 3 - Enter an amount and optionally a memo # Earn Bitcoin # By Referring Others Every STARBACKR user has access to our referral program. If someone signs up using your referral code or link, you will receive 5% of every payment they make or receive for 30 days. ### Step-By-Step Guide 1. ### Step-by-step guide #### Install STARBACKR on iOS 1. Open STARBACKR in Safari on your phone (you can't install a progressive web app using any other browser) 2. Tap on the "share" button in the bottom toolbar. 3. Tap on "Add to Homescreen" 4. Choose a name for your STARBACKR app 5. You can now open STARBACKR in PWA-mode from your homescreen #### Install STARBACKR on Android 1. Open STARBACKR in Chrome or Firefox on your phone (other browsers might be supported) 2. Open your browser's menu 3. Click on "Install" or "Add to Homescreen" depending on the browser you are using 4. Choose a name for your STARBACKR app 5. You can now open STARBACKR in PWA-mode from your homescreen #### # Log-In/Sign-Up Using A Wallet On STARBACKR you can log-in/sign-up using your e-mail address and password OR your Slashtags or LNURL-Auth enabled wallet. Accounts created using such a wallet require **no personal information** like an e-mail or password. {% hint style="danger" %} If you choose not to provide an e-mail address and password your account becomes a lot harder to recover. {% endhint %} ### Log-In/Sign-Up with Slashtags Slashtags is a new internet protocol that lets users take control of their digital identity. You can use your Slashtags-enabled Wallet to Log-In/Sign-Up on STARBACKR. Once you linked your STARBACKR account to your Slashtag you will be able to log in using your wallet. ### Log-In/Sign-Up with LNURL-Auth LNURL-Auth is part of the LNURL spec and enables you to "login with Lightning". Once you linked your STARBACKR account to a Wallet that supports LNURL-Auth you will be able to log in using that wallet. # Link A Wallet To An Existing Account If you already have a regular e-mail/password STARBACKR account, you can still benefit from easy logins using your Slashtags- or LNURL-auth-enabled Wallet. Simply link your account to your wallet by following the steps below. Step-By-Step Guide 1. Navigate to the [STARBACKR Log-In page](https://app.starbackr.com/login) (log out if you are logged in already). 2. Click the "Slashtags / Lightning" button\ \ 3. So make sure to update it in your application whenever you start a new stream. {% endhint %} With STARBACKR Live 2.0 you can now not only stream directly from your web browser but also from third-party applications like Open Broadcasting Studio (OBS) or SteamLabs. Once you start a live streaming session on STARBACKR you will receive a unique *Stream Key* and *URL.* See below for a step-by-step guide on how to connect. ### Step-By-Step Guide 1. Navigate to STARBACKR Live (Streaming from third-party applications is only supported on Desktop devices) and start click the "Live" button 2. Once on the streaming dashboard, enter a *title/description* for your stream and select *From third party application (Stream Key/URL)* from the sources selection. 3. Optional: Modify your stream settings (Premium, Scheduled, Record) 4. Click *Start Livestream* to start the session and generate a *Stream Key.* Your Session will now be accessible to viewers. Keep this page open while streaming. 5. Copy *Stream Key* and *URL* and paste those into your third-party application's settings. 6.
